As athletes run and stretch and strain,
They'll glibly say, "No pain, and gain."
We'll laugh at a kick in the pants,
Or even try the Tour de France.
Another pill may make the scene
That makes our memories quite keen.
All facts, no matter how humdrum,
Will stick to brains like chewing gum.
Kids with multiplication tables
And old folks telling ancient fables
Get total recall, top to bottom.
Even if you'd rather they forgot 'em.
And an advance that's even keener: the
Linking of thoughts to machinery.
With a wee implant in your noggin
You think your e-mails and your bloggin'.
